Summing it all up

This semester of EDTF has been nothing but getting our hands dirty in work, and experimenting with the results. With this trial-and-error approach, has come a lot of frustrated and angry students who couldn't figure out the problem at hand. After a bunch of bickering, the problems turned into solutions and these students started to create beautiful online master pieces.
Yes, the road has been rocky for some of us, but I think we can all agree that the things we have learned will carry over with us for the rest of our lives. The productivity tools have been the most exciting tools to learn about because the options are endless! Color Schemes, page templates, and text-boxes galore! And we can't forget about the wonderful time savor, mail merge! The hardest software tools to master were the Audio/video ones. We can't ignore the fact that everybody loves cinema, so pushing through all of the hard work was for the best. My presentations, websites, even blogs and social media tools will all be enhanced with the works of art I can create in Audacity and Photostory 3.
Even though our software tools might become out-dated, we will find it far easier to adjust to the new version with the basic knowledge we've learned in EDTF300. Let's Celebrate!

April 19th

I had a lot of fun working with google to create a website! Its different from Web Expression because google gives you a bunch of templates to chose from, and then you just type in your information. But the bottom line is, making a website is so much fun.
Group D learned the hard way that planning is key when it comes to group projects, and this time around is going much smoother, although there is a lot of work to accomplish. Tomorrow during class we plan to have our podcast completed and hopefully that will conclude our week 13-15 assignments.
Snipping tool is still my all time favorite accessory to use, but learning all about the amazing things google has to offer was a close second. Literally...google can create anything,

Happy Easter!!!
Welp, I don't know what it is about movie maker but it literally hates me. Both of the movie projects we have had to do have taken wayyyy to much time, and to think, for this actual video we only had a week to complete! Not to mention over a holiday weekend! We had to take out two video camera's which wouldn't upload our film for us, so we resorted to using a cellphone video camera. That really lead us astray.
I felt terrible leaving my teammates here to finish this beast of a project, but living so far away I didn't really have an option. Nicole put so much effort into formating and compiling the videos and It turned out great so THANKS NICOLE! Check it out:

Module III

Aye aye AYE! This movie maker project was a nightmare. I literally couldn't get anything to save so that I could work on it later, So each time I went to go finish my movie...I had to start all over. But I have finally finished it, along with my power point presentation, and I am pretty content with my results. My Powerpoint turned out better than my Movie in my opinion, but I will let you guys be the judge of that. Here is the video about my life:
Im done and ready to learn something else new..Bring on Module IV!

Half way done..So much more to learn!

We've officially finished Module II, and we will be moving on to Module III in class on Monday. Designing my own booklet was a lot of fun, even though finding enough information to fill up 12 pages was pretty hard. Learning how to change the size and shape of my page layout is the most useful thing I have learned during these past few weeks, because it has literally opened up my possibilities to create anything. I will easily impress all of my professors when it comes down to my organized and colorful poster i'll be using for every class presentation I ever have. ;)

Who Is Bailey Farthing?

My name is Bailey Farthing and I am currently studying Sports Administration at the wonderful Lock Haven University. I started playing volleyball in 7th grade, I fell in love with it, and I've been a one-sport kind of girl ever since. I've been stuck in the, "go to class, go to practice, then go to bed" routine all of my life and I can't see it ever ending so I want to pass down my love of the sport through coaching. The classes I'm taking for Sports Administration have also sparked my interest in becoming an Athletic Director. But we'll see how things go. I'm indecisive.
I consider myself to be pretty comfortable with technology, considering I grew up in the 21st century. I've prepared power point presentations, I've been taught on smart boards, and I've just upgraded to a smart phone.
I have not been introduced to any online courses, but I have taken Intro to Computers where I created my own website, mastered Microsoft Word, and set up an Excel spreadsheet. If EDTF had been offered online, I would not have taken it because I prefer traditional classroom settings. I am a visual learner, and I find it easier to learn through example rather than experimentation.
FUN FACT of the day: My face is on the LHU homepage.
